The Calvary Baptist Academy Cavaliers, who are the No. 1-ranked team in Class 2A and the defending Div. III State Champions, will play host to the No. 3- ranked Parkway Panthers tonight at Calvary’s Jerry Barker Stadium. This matchup of two stellar programs officially kicks off the 2014 high school football season.

Hopefully, all the light bulbs have been checked and replaced in the scoreboard at Barker Stadium because this game features two explosive offenses who intend to score a lot of points.

Calvary is led by highly-recruited junior quarterback Shea Patterson as well as a plethora of offensive weapons in wide receiver Shun Brown and running back Orlando Bradford.

After losing standout quarterback Brandon Harris to LSU, Parkway intends to replace him with highly-touted junior Keondre Wudtee. The new Panthers quarterback should be helped out by returning running backs William McKnight and Demetrius McAtee.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
