Longtime TV personality Dick Clark died at the age of 82, after suffering a massive heart attack Wednesday morning April, 18 2012.

Clark began his career in radio as a teenager and went on to change pop music with the popular show “American Bandstand”.

In 1963 Clark started Dick Clark Productions, and produced shows like “$25,000 Pyramid”, and the “American Music Awards”.

In 1972 Clark started a tradition with “Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve” show, which Clark hosted every year until 2004 when he suffered a stroke. Regis stepped in that year, and with slurred speech Clark was back the following year, and with Ryan Seacrest taking over hosting duties, Clark continued taking part in the show on up to this last New Year’s Eve.

America’s Oldest Teenager is gone, and is survived by his third wife of 35 years Keri Wigton, and three children.
