The Bossier City Police Department is continuing its search for 14 year old Joseph Allen LaCour who is autistic and is unable to verbally communicate.

Here is the update for BCPD:

Joseph was reported missing by his family after he left his home at the Eagle Point Apartments in the 2200 block of North Riverwood Circle Sunday afternoon.

Joseph is black male with short black hair, brown eyes and has a cleft lip and palate.  He is approximately 5’3” tall and weighs 140 pounds.  He was last seen at his home wearing a blue Columbia t-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. It’s is believe that  Joseph may also be wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, an LSU baseball cap and is carrying a backpack.

Bossier City police have been actively searching for Joseph with the assistance of the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, Bossier City Fire Department and Louisiana State Police since late Sunday afternoon when Joseph was reported missing.

The Bossier City Police Department has established a mobile command post at Walbrook Park in the 1100 block of Mary Ann Street which runs off of Shed Road just east of Benton Road where the search effort is being coordinated. Bossier City police have requested the assistance of a DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office helicopter which is expected to join in the search effort this morning.

Residents and businesses, particularly those in the area of the Eagle Point Apartments, are being asked to check storage sheds, garages or any other building on their property as Joseph may possibly be utilizing such structures as shelter.
