Bossier Advances in LHSAA Playoffs! [First round results]

The first round of high school playoff basketball is in the books. Number one ranked Bossier easily advanced to the second round of the 3A bracket with an 85-23 win over Port-Barre. In 5A, Captain Shreve got it’s first playoff win in... 22 years by defeating Woodlawn Baton Rouge 60-56, they next play 4th seeded East Ascension on Friday. Byrd also advanced, winning 80-65 over West Jefferson. They face 2 seed Scotlandville on Friday. Ruston and Natchitoches Central also advanced in 5A.

In the 4A bracket, Huntington advanced to round 2 by ousting Northwood 67-45. Minden lost to Salmen 82-48.

Other scores from the 3A bracket include Green Oaks 61-49 loss to Patterson.

2A scores… North Webster took care of Evangel 76-64, they face Winnfield in the regional round. North Caddo lost to Homer 57-53. 1A… Louisiana New Tech in Plain Dealing moves on to the second round, they’ll face top seeded Christian Life.

In Class B, Zwolle and Doyline each moved on.
