Big Day For Louisiana College Football Teams Against Texas Teams

There's a lot of local college football action happening across Louisiana today. Oddly, a lot of the Louisiana teams are playing against teams from Texas.

The Northwestern State Demons welcome Sam Houston State to Turpin Stadium in Natchitoches. The Demons need to get their offense going, they’ve only scored 27 points in their last two games.

To the south, Southeastern Louisiana should be able to score some points in Hammond  as Houston Baptist is allowing 45 points a game. Southeastern is coming off a tough 52-34 loss to Incarnate Word. While Houston Baptist is reeling after a 66-35 loss to Central Arkansas.

But there is a team that has to hit the road. Nicholls State has a long bus trip ahead of them as they are at Abilene Christian, which is at least a couple hours east of Fort Worth, Texas. The Wildcats are 2-and-4 on the season, but two of those losses were by a field goal. Kick-off on Saturday is at 2:30.
