Shelley McMillian has an amazing track record. As a college athlete McMillian scored the first goal in Centenary soccer history, as a coach she gathered 26 district Coach of the Year honors, 8 All-City Coach of the Year awards, the list of McMillian's accomplishments can run as long as the credits after an animated Disney movie. McMillian's discipline and passion for sports is unreal. Shelley McMillian might have retired from coaching, but she took all that energy and founded an amazing organization that helps hundreds of families in SBC every year. If you want to see McMillian light up, ask her about Rock Solid Impact Center. "Rock Solid is amazing, we have an after school program, Active Kids After School." said MicMillian. The Active Kids After School Program picks up students from 19 different schools and eliminates parents having to go pick up their kids and wait in a carpool line. "We bring your kids in we help them with homework in the attempt to create better family time at night. So you as a parent don't have to sit there and go through math problems you may not remember from the third grade. We help with that (Homework) we feed the kids a healthy meal, and then we have active sessions."

According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) "The percentage of children with obesity in the United States has more than tripled since the 1970s. Today, about one in five school-aged children (ages 6–19) has obesity." Rock Solid focuses on healthy habits, character building, help with homework and staying active. "We are allowing them (students) to do activities that are fun, and that are also creating a healthy lifestyle." added McMillian. Rock Solid is a Non-Profit organization and their annual fundraising event is scheduled for October. On average Rock Solid gives $50,000 dollars in subsidies to families who would like to enroll their kids in Rock Solid programs but don't have the finances available.

Rock solid has an amazing staff, and background checks are ran on every staff member. The after school program has a 6 to 1 student to staff member ratio. McMillian takes pride in the staff at Rock Solid. "I'm a parent, and I realize how much it takes a village to raise a child and we want to be a part of your village"
