While the Vegas oddsmakers are picking Bama by 1 and a half points over LSU in tonight's BCS National Championship game at the New Orleans Superdome,  no one in the KWKH listening area thinks the game will be that close.

My unofficial poll from today's KWKH Morning Show,  puts LSU on top by at least a touchdown.  I'm even predicting a bigger spread than that with the Tigers beating the Tide by 10: 31-21.

One must take into account the last LSU-Bama game in which Vegas oddsmakers picked Alabama by 3.   Three was the right spread, but with the wrong winner.   LSU had an amazing win in T-Town with a last second field goal in overtime and won the game, 9-6.

The only reason they're playing Bama again is Bama was ranked number two at the end of the season, and the national championship game had to be #1 against #2.

One thing's for sure.  An SEC team will win the national championship this year as both teams are from the SEC, making history as the first time two teams from the same conference have played each other for the national title.

This just shows how dominant the SEC is and has been for the past 5 years or so.  Count the last five SEC national champs: Auburn,  Alabama,  Florida, LSU, and Florida again.

The Texas A&M Aggies and Missouri Tigers have no idea what they're in for as they've joined the SEC and will be playing the toughest teams in college football next season.

LSU's starting quarterback Jordan Jefferson remembers the last time he played at the Superdome.  He was leading his high school team to a state championship victory.  It was the first time in 34 years that Destrehan High had won a state championship.

The Bayou Bengals feel right at home at the Superdome.

They're looking ready for the national title in this publicity picture.

You can hear tonight's exciting Super Bowl of college football on your home for LSU, AM 1130, KWKH. Pre game is at 5:30 pm with kick off at 7:30 pm.
