The work these kids are doing on the court is nothing compared to the work they're doing off of it.

A few basketball players for Lincoln Middle School, in Kenosha, Wisc., recently walked off the court during a game to tell a bully they heard to stop picking on one of their cheerleaders, Desiree Andrews, who has Down syndrome.

Scooter Terrien was one of the players who came to Desiree's aid:

It’s not fair when other people get treated wrong because we’re all the same. We’re all created the same. God made us the same way."

The players continue to have Desiree's back. They recently played their last game in the gym, which they've since dubbed Dee's House in her honor, a tribute she says her family considers "sweet, kind, awesome, amazing."
