Does This ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ BTS Video Contain a Major Spoiler?
Thor: Ragnarok changes the game for the entire Asgard family. Hela, goddess of death, attacks the entire realm (and might succeed in destroying it), Thor gets booted off into the multiverse and lands on a hellish gladiator planet, and he and the Hulk, his former teammate, are pitted against each other in an arena. Thor also loses his hair, his flowy cape, and — gasp — his hammer!
‘Hellboy’ First Look: David Harbour Is Big, Red, and Scary Looking
The Hellboy movie has had an intriguing start, with the disappointing news that Guillermo del Toro wasn’t finishing his trilogy, to a bunch of exciting casting announcements, to one not-so-exciting cast addition, to that actor backing out, to a better choice being in talks (which were confirmed today). More good news: we finally know what David Harbour’s Son of the Fallen One looks like. And he’s pretty scary.
James Gunn Says ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ May Arrive Summer 2020
We don’t know when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is coming out, but we know that it’s happening, and happening soon. And director James Gunn seems to have hinted at a possible 2020 release date, which would put it right in line with the other evenly-spaced Guardians movies, the first of which came out in 2014, and the second arrived this year.

James Wan Describes ‘Aquaman’ as Like ‘Star Wars Underwater’
James Wan’s Aquaman hasn’t been plagued with any weird rumors or high-profile exits so far, and actually seems to be going, well, swimmingly. Wan has described the shoot as “super complicated,” even out of the water, but Aquaman seems to be in a league of its own. Which may be because it’s in practically a different world from the rest of the DCEU — or, as Wan apparently described it on set, “Star Wars underwater.”
The Writers of ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Are Returning for the Sequel
It looks like the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel is about to get the whole band back together. Tom Holland, obviously, will be reprising his role as the web-slinger, and director Jon Watts is already in talks for the next one. Today it was announced that screenwriters Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers will be returning to write the sequel, which is a very smart move from Marvel considering how well this summer’s movie was received.
A New Phasma Novel Will Flesh Out the Coolest Stormtrooper’s Shiny and Chrome Backstory

One of those, Captain Phasma, will be getting her own novel titled Phasma, which will explain a little more of just how exactly Brienne of Tarth came to join the First Order.

Now, it looks like his Supergirl schedule is giving him the break he needs to start shooting his new movie, which officially begins production this fall.
Todd Phillips Directing, Martin Scorsese Producing a Joker Origin Movie
Okay, well, we didn’t see this one coming. Warner Bros. and DC are bringing us an origin movie for none other than classic, ageless Batman villain the Joker.
Todd McFarlane Officially Announces a New ‘Spawn’ Movie at Comic Con
Blumhouse Productions is killing it recently. The production company behind The Purge, Get Out, and M. Night Shyamalan’s Split has been racking up a new slate of horror and horror-adjacent films lately (there’s going to be a Purge 4), and the company will continue their hot streak with a new Spawn movie.
‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’ Set Photos Give Cyclops a Visor Upgrade
Costume upgrades are pretty standard when it comes to superhero movies, and for the next X-Men outing, Dark Phoenix, our good super kids are getting some new gadgets too. Most importantly, Cyclops will have a new visor that’ll make him look a whole lot more like his older James Marsden counterpart (and a little less sillier than his Apocalypse look did).
This New Image From Alicia Vikander’s ‘Tomb Raider’ Is a Real Cliffhanger
The Alicia Vikander Tomb Raider reboot is nigh, and will show us who Lara Croft was before she became the raider of tombs immortalized in like a billion video games. As part of their Comic Con preview, Entertainment Weekly released a new image of Vikander as Croft, hanging on to a cliff for dear life, as you do.
