Love will make you do some crazy things.  On more than one occasion, love has motivated an individual to break the law in order to be with the one they adore - but that usually doesn't work out.  Unfortunately, that seems to be the case for Maxine Feldstein and Nicholas Lowe - but they almost got away with it.

To be fair, I don't know for a fact that these two jail birds are in love.  There could be some other reason that Maxine threw caution (and good judgement) into the wind when she impersonated a law enforcement officer in order to free Mr. Lowe - but I doubt it.  According to myarklamiss.com, Nicholas was picked up in Arkansas last week on a warrant from Ventura county, California on the charge of "false impersonation."  He was being held in the Washington County Detention Center awaiting extradition when Ms. Feldstein decided that she might be pretty good at impersonating herself.  According to court documents, she called the detention center and impersonated a Ventura County Sheriff's Deputy, then submitted forged documents in order to secure Lowe's release - and, it (almost) worked.  The pair totally would have gotten away had an actual Ventura County Sheriff's Deputy not called 30 minutes later to arrange the pickup of their prisoner.

The pair were arrested and placed back into jail, complete with his and her criminal charges.  She will be charged with felony forgery and criminal impersonation, and he will now face an escape charge in addition to the charge in California.
