Alan Crump Is Mayor’s Choice to Be Police Chief

Shreveport's next police chief will be Interim Chief Alan Crump. KTBS and several other media outlets are reporting Crump has accepted the job.

Mayor Ollie Tyler and Crump will discuss the appointment with the media later today.

Crump has been the city's interim chief since Willie Shaw retired from the post several months ago. Crump was one of 19 applicants for the job. He was among the seven finalists the Mayor interviewed extensively early this month. Crump will take over immediately.
