There's been a call for the public to show their support for our law enforcement officers, and a local retail store has done just that.

The folks at the Airline Drive Wal-Mart Supercenter showed up at the Bossier City Police Department today with trays of sandwiches, chicken fingers and chicken wings to show their support of our officers and staff.

Store Manager Brian Kleeb asked his staff to deliver the goodies to police headquarters this afternoon. According to the department, there's been a great outpouring of support from residents and businesses these past few weeks.

Gestures of support our officers have received lately range from simple notes of thanks left on patrol units to people picking up dinner tabs for officers at local restaurants. A host of local businesses headed up by Prepped Up Meals has also recently provided Bossier City officers with boxed lunches to say thanks for their service.
