Country music legend Faron Young would have been 80 years old this Saturday and to remember his amazing legacy there's a new book about him coming out.  It's Young's biography that's being re-released in paperback.

Country Music Hall of Fame member Faron Young's biography,  "Live Fast,  Love Hard, The Faron Young Story,"  has just been re-released in trade paperback.

Written by Diane Diekman and published by the University of Illinois Press, the book chronicles the late star’s life and country music career. The book is available in stores and online.

Faron Young was born in Shreveport on Feb. 25, 1932. He died in Nashville, TN., on Dec. 19, 1996. He was a 1951 graduate of Fair Park High School and attended Centenary College here.

Diekman is also the author of "Twentieth Century Drifter, The Life of Marty Robbins,"  to be released in March.
