The NFL has actually enjoyed a recent downward trend in arrests across the league, but it still feels like there are a lot of players finding themselves on the wrong side of the law.

It appears the most common offense among NFL players is "driving under the influence", but domestic violence charges seem to be a lingering problem for players as well. However, you don't hear of many players getting jail time for the charge that former New Orleans Saint Robert Meachem is being put away for. Here's more from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"Former Saints wide receiver will spend the next month in the Jefferson Parish jail after a judge determined he’s at fault for not paying almost 400-thousand dollars in child support and alimony. The judge says if Meachem can come up with 100-thousand dollars, he’ll get out of jail sooner."
