The State Fire Marshal along with Natchitoches Police have arrested a Natchitoches woman in connection with the homicide of a 6-month-old baby boy.

25-year-old old Felicia Marie-Nicole Smith was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center on one count of 1st degree murder for the death of Levi Cole Ellerbe, who was located set on fire off of Breda Avenue on the evening of Tuesday, July 17.
The investigation is on-going.

KEEL News asked if this woman was somehow related to the child and we were told this woman is not the mother, but no other details about the relationship can be released at this time.

The baby was buried this weekend during services in Winnfield, Louisiana.

The baby boy was found next to railroad tracks shortly after he was taken from a home in the Mayberry Trailer Park, which is about 3 miles away. Firefighters found Levi with obvious burns to his body. He was taken to Natchitoches Medical Center then airlifted to University Health Hospital in Shreveport, where he died from his injuries.
