10 Cloverfield Lane hits theaters next week, which puts us at peak marketing for Bad Robot’s mysterious “blood relative” to Cloverfield. In addition to a pair of special IMAX TV spots featuring new footage, Paramount has also unveiled a handful of official photos from the upcoming horror / sci-fi thriller starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Goodman (and maybe also a monster?).

Okay, to be fair, producer J.J. Abrams has heavily implied that the real monster of the film is Goodman, but previews have suggested that might not be entirely the case. At any rate, there’s a little bit of previously unseen footage in these IMAX spots, mostly involving Goodman’s character, a doomsday prepper who rescues Winstead from a serious car accident and brings her to his underground bunker — where he assures her that everyone outside is dead and he’s doing her a huge favor. John Gallagher Jr. co-stars as a fellow bunker resident, and the new spots reveal that he’s not being held captive; in fact, he desperately wanted to be there.

Paramount has also offered some new photos from the film, which marks the feature debut of Dan Trachtenberg and was previously working under the title Valencia:

10 Cloverfield Lane has also revived the old Cloverfield viral marketing, which has given us additional clues about Goodman’s character and his motivations. We’ll find out more very soon, as the film hits theaters on March 11.
